It is 4:22 on Wednesday morning and I shold be in that REM dreamstate where, if I were a dog, my paws would be twitching and you could detect the slight whimper…in my dream I would be chasing a cat perhaps or running through a green meadow. You know what I mean. The dreams that you have right before you wake up are the most vivid and THAT is where I should be right now. Dreaming, Not awake. Not sweating out a fever of 101. Not contemplating a sick day when I have things to do…things I WANT to do…at work.
I could go in to the office but the electric green snot thats been findings its way out of my nose every 5 minutes is not something I would want one of my colleagues to share with me so I will suck it up and sit it out for another day. Appears as though my immune system is still playing junior varsity since my take down before Christmas and all the kiddie germs and airplanes were more than it could stand.
I am not a big proponent of antibiotics or medicine of any kind aside from whiskey and garlic, of course, but I’m gonna head to the Arzt for some alchemy first thing and try to nip this in the bud and get back into my IBK groove. I need to get out of the mindset that having a cold every 10 seconds means Im weak and just adapt to this new reality.
Here’s a pretty ode to my fever dreams…a lullaby that, I hope, will sing me back to sleep

I actually had pneumonia once for like 3 months and I was convinced it was a cold that wouldn’t go away until I finally went to the doctor and reluctantly went onto pills. green is usually a bad sign..
I would go to the old indian dude on innstrasse- he always recommends something herbal which kicks it most of the time for me.
hope you are feeling better and not just powering through it.
